In the White House hangs Field Marshal Munir Trumps ‘result -oriented’ role in India ceasefire

Rawal Pindi: In a rare meeting with high level with US President Donald Trump, Field Marshal Asim Munir paid tribute to his “constructive and result -oriented role” in facilitating a ceasefire with India after last month’s armed conflict between the two nuclear armed neighbors.

The development came when the two leaders met over lunch in the White House Cabinet Room on Wednesday, with the US president being accompanied by State Secretary Marco Rubio and the US special representative of Middle Eastern affairs Steve Witkoff, while Field Marshal Munir joined the National Security Advisor of Islamabad.

The Chief of Army Staff (Coas) Munir, according to the Inter -Services Public Relations (ISPR) declaration, which was issued on Thursday, recognized President Trump’s state and his ability to understand and tackle the multifaceted challenges facing global society.
