  • Haryana to perform scornful exercises in 22 districts.
  • Exercises to simulate critical events such as air strikes, drone attacks.
  • Controlled Blackout to be observed near important installations.

Islamabad: India is ready to conduct major civilian defense exercises from tomorrow (Thursday) in four states along its border with Pakistan only weeks after both countries reached a ceasefire after military confrontation.

According to Indian media, mock exercises are held in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Punjab and Gujarat on Thursday night, authorities said.

The Haryana government has also announced a state emergency exercise exercise entitled “Operation Shield”, which is scheduled for May 29 across all 22 districts from 17:00 (local time) onwards, aiming to increase emergency preparedness in the event of crises.

The drill, which is organized under the guidance of the Union’s Ministry of Domestic Affairs (MHA), will simulate critical events such as air strikes, drone attacks and other wartime scenarios in the wake of national security concerns under the Indian media.

In addition, a controlled blackout of 15 minutes is observed from 1 p.m. 20 to 20.15 near important installations, with the exception of important relief services such as hospitals, fire stations and police stations.

Dr. Sumita Misra, additional chief secretary, home department, Haryana said: “The exercise aims to test existing emergency mechanisms, improve coordination between civil administration, defense forces and communities and identify areas to be strengthened, ensuring rapid and effective reaction during any crisis.”

Previously, a Statewide Mockbor was carried out on May 7 shortly after India launched air strikes in Pakistan, which hit civilian populations, including mosques claiming life for 26 civilians.

The fluid’s ceasefire, advertised by US President Donald Trump, came after Pakistan launched retaliation during “Operation Bunyan-EMarsoos” in response to India’s unprovoked missile and drone attacks in Pakistani civilian and military places.

Pakistan put down his six fighter jets, including three rafale, and dozens of drones. After at least 87 hours, the war between the two nuclear armed nations ended on May 10 with a ceasefire agreement broken by the United States.

According to ISPR, a total of 53 individuals, including 13 employees of the armed forces and 40 civilians, were martyrated in Indian strikes during recent military confrontation.

The military confrontation between the two countries was triggered by last month’s attack in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), leaving 26 tourists died, with India accused Pakistan of the attack without providing evidence.
