The Indian Government declared a Pakistani official published by the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi as Persona Non Grata who accused him of “activities that did not comply with his official status.”

The move comes a day after the director’s general of military operations (DGMOs) in Pakistan and India held their first round of negotiations following the ceasefire message from US President Trump.

During the discussion, the DGMOs from both sides agreed not to fire a single shot or initiate any aggressive act against each other.

According to a statement from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs Tuesday, Pakistani official has been asked to leave India within 24 hours.

“The Pakistani official has been in activities that are incompatible with his diplomatic status,” the statement reads without deepening the nature of the claims.

India called the charge of Pakistan High Commission earlier today to deliver a formal demarche regarding the decision.

A full and immediate ceasefire between India and Pakistan was announced on May 10 after days of increased military exchanges that brought both nuclear armed neighbors to the brink of the war.

The message was first made by US President Donald Trump and later confirmed by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Indian Secretary of State S Jaispankar and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Tensions flared after an attack on April 22 in Pahagam, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), leaving 26 civilians dead.

India accused Pakistan-based elements without providing evidence Islamabad rejected the claims. In response, India closed the Wagah border, revoked Visa and suspended the Indus Waters Treaty -Moves Pakistan called an “act of war.” The conflict was intensified with India’s Missilattracks and the Drone penetration as it leaned its operation Sindoor.

Pakistan’s military launched Operation Bunyanum Marsoos as retaliation and closed up five Indian jet-air-inclusive Rafales-and-captured 77 Israeli-made Haropron. After diplomatic intervention led by Washington, both sides agreed to stop military activity across land, air and sea.
