Islamabad:
The National Assembly unanimously adopted a decision on Thursday and stated that any step from India to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) would be considered an “act of war.”
The lower house also approved the bill on gas -fired power plants 2025 despite resistance. The session, led by speeches Ayaz Sadiq, began with opposition member Iqbal Afridi pointed out a lack of decision-making, which led to a 15-minute suspension of the procedure.
After the question, federal minister Ali Pervaiz Malik introduced the gas -fired power plants Bill 2025, which sought to impose a tax on privately operated captivity.
The bill was adopted despite opposition protests. Originally, a five percent tax will be imposed, which could increase to 10 percent and eventually 20 percent in subsequent phases.
Later, the federal minister of water resources Mian Mian Min Wattoo made a decision that condemned India’s reported steps to suspend the IWT. The resolution, which was adopted unanimously, said such an act would mean a declaration of war and called on the government to take measures in this regard.
During the debate, the PTI legislator Iqbal warned Afridi that India would have been defeated before and would face it again if it continued to participate in power of attorney and terrorism.
PPP’s aijaz Jakhrani emphasized the critical meaning of water and declared: “Water is life and we will not compromise on it. Modi must hear this loud and clear.”
The lower house also strongly condemned the recent school bus attack in Khuzdar.
National Assembly Member of Balochistan Mian Khan Bugti said India had been involved in the Khuzdar school bus attack and promised to defeat Indian supported clerks.
Meanwhile, federal minister Sardar Yous, in response to awareness attention to the quality of food and alternative events for Hajj -Pilgrims, assured that all problems that members traveled by the members would be treated immediately.
The National Assembly Session was postponed indefinitely.
