Lahore: Security forces shot into the Indian drone in the Lahore Manawan area, police sources said Friday.
They said security forces immediately targeted the drone after its movement was discovered on Pakistani territory.
Police sources added that the unit seemed to be a surveillance drone as no explosives were found on it.
Intelligence agencies have taken drone in custody and launched probe in the case according to sources.
The latest event came months after Pakistan and India dealt with the military confrontation in May 2025, triggered by an April attack in Indian illegally illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) that New Delhi accused of Islamabad before agreeing on a ceasefire.
In response to the Indian aggression, Pakistan’s armed forces launched a large-scale military action called “Operation Bunyan-Um-Marsoos” and targeted several Indian military targets across multiple regions.
Pakistan lowered six Indian fighter jets, including three rafales, and dozens of drones. After at least 87 hours, the war between the two nuclear armed nations ended on May 10 with a ceasefire agreement broken by the United States.
The fluid’s ceasefire was first announced by US President Donald Trump on social media after Washington held conversations with both sides, but India has been different with Trump’s claims that it was due to his intervention and threats of interrupting trade interviews.
However, Pakistan has recognized Trump’s efforts and formally recommended him at the Nobel Peace Prize 2026, referring to his role in abusing tension between the two countries last month.
