An Indian Air Force Jaguar fighter jets have crashed into Gujarat’s Jamnagar, with one pilot being pushed out safely while a search is underway after another.
“While a pilot surely threw out before the crash, another is still missing. The plane fired after the crash. Police and firefighters have rushed to the scene and began searching for the missing pilot,” a local news agency quoted the superintendent of police Premsukh Delu as I said.
Videos from the stage in Suvarda Village, 12 km from Jamnagar City, show a field on fire, with cockpit and tail of the crashed aircraft burning in separate areas.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) officials said the twin seat Jaguar was on a routine training mission.
Jaguar is a double-motor-fighter bomber that is available in single and double seat variants and is widely used by IAF. First introduced in the late 1970s, it has undergone significant upgrades over the years.
On March 7, another IAF Jaguar crashed in Ambala after a system error. The pilot steered the aircraft away from residential areas before pushing out safely.
