Indiana Fever -star Sophie Cunningham responded to the mass shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, MinnesotaWednesday, saying two children were killed and 17 people injured.
Cunningham offered his prayers to the victims and called the violent act “pure evil.”
“Nothing but prayers to annunciation Catholic school. Just terrible and purely evil. May everyone involve feeling our love!” Cunningham wrote in a post on X.

Cunningham is a Christian who has made his religion part of his basketball routines. When she goes back to her college career at the University of Missouri, she has been known to have a routine where she uses her fingers to draw the sign on the cross over her shoes, knees, heart and forehead, and again over her warmth when she goes up to the free castle line.
The shooting is currently being investigated by the FBI as a hate crime targeting Catholics, the FBI Director Kash Patel announced on Wednesday. Patel said two children died. They were 8 and 10 years old.
The suspect has been identified as Robert or Robin Westman, according to law enforcement sources.

The court’s records show that a Minneapolis youth named Robert Westman got their name legally changed to Robin in 2019, and the FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that Skytten was born Robert and later identified as Robin.
Robin M. Westman was previously known as Robert Paul Westman, according to a court document filed by a mother named Mary Grace Westman.
“Smaller child [redacted] Identifies as a woman and wants her name to reflect this identification, ”she wrote at the time.
Disruptive videos sent by someone using the name Robin Westman were deleted from YouTube after the shooting showing handwritten pages in a notebook, weapons with messages painted on them, and comment from the one filming them.

Minneapolis -Police Chief Brian O’Hara confirmed that police were “aware of a manifest that shooter had timed to be released on YouTube.”
“[It] seemed to show him on stage and included some disturbing writing, ”said the boss.
