India’s two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra tied the knot with his partner Himani Mor in the presence of his dear family and friends during a private ceremony.
Taking to social media, India’s javelin thrower announced the news of his marriage with a heartwarming note, reported BEER.
“Starting new chapter of life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after,” read the caption of the picture uploaded by Neeraj.
It was confirmed by his uncle, who revealed that the marriage took place two days ago, that a reception party for the marriage will take place soon.
Himani Mor hails from Larsauli, Haryana, and attended Little Angels School in Sonipat.
Additionally, she is currently pursuing her Masters in Science in Sports Management and Administration from the McCormack Isenberg School of Management in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Neeraj’s marriage is the second high-profile wedding in Indian sports within a few months after fellow Olympic medalist PV Sindhu’s wedding back in December.
Importantly, Neeraj is the first Indian to win an Olympic medal in athletics and just the second to win an individual gold at the Summer Games after winning the men’s javelin event at Tokyo 2020.
He also achieved the silver medal at Paris 2024.
Additionally, he will bring a Continental Tour Javelin-Only competition to India on the professional front, reported NDTV.
