Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated on Wednesday that India’s allegations of regional dominance have been crushed after the recent development, adding that there is “grief” in India over its failure to undermine Pakistan’s diplomatic status.
DAR’s comments followed significant diplomatic commitments during his recent visit to China, where he held bilateral meetings with the Chinese Foreign Minister and attended a trilateral meeting with Afghan officials.
The visit, which also served as a thank you to China for his support for the Pahagam question, highlighted the growing international recognition of Pakistan’s attitude.

“India lied to damage Pakistan, and today its allegations of regional superiority have been reduced to dust,” Dar said, stressing that Pakistan’s response to Indian aggression has been both effective and measured. He praised the diplomatic search by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, who has gained international recognition for his clarity.
The escalating tension between Pakistan and India began on April 22 with the attack in the Pahaldam area in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), where 26 people were killed.
India immediately accused Pakistan without presenting evidence, while Islamabad denied New Delhi’s claim and called for an independent probe.
The Narendra Modi-led government in India then took a series of hostile actions, including suspending the 65-year-old Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), canceling Visa for Pakistani citizens, closing the Wagah-Attari border transition and ordering the shutdown of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi and reducing diplomatic staff.
Pakistan reciprocated with quick actions, including countermeasures, such as stopping trade and closing the airspace, was followed by a number of military engagements.
