Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s reconciliation meeting was reportedly unsuccessful, but it also seemed boring for the actress, who had to call in a beloved game to play during the proceedings.
The 38-year-old actress reportedly asked her driver to bring her expensive mahjong set to court on Wednesday, amid their conversations.
The Gossip Girl alum was seen arriving at court at 8.30 and the session started around 10 a.m., but Page six reported that around 11 a.m. Lively needed a distraction and dialed in her Chinese tile game.
The Another simple service star has been a fan of the game for a long time and has discussed it in various interviews. In December, she told Vogue“I have taught friends to play [mahjong]although I have to say that I am not a certified teacher.”
But she added: “I know enough to teach my friends to play with me, and in the end I always end up giving them my own set because they’re obsessed and want to practice.”
The mahjong set is not a luxury that everyone can afford, as a set is priced at around $500 to $15,500, depending on the brands.
Lively and Baldoni’s settlement details come after their pre-trial mediation failed to produce a positive outcome, and they are likely to go to court in May.
