- Two disguised drone models that are spotted in leaked images
- Previously released Insta360 sphere can provide clues to capabilities
- DJI is the current drone market manager
Be careful, DJI – There seems to be a surprising new drone competitor waiting in the wings. At least that’s what a new set of leaked Insta360 pictures suggest.
The pictures posted on X (formerly Twitter) by Seriel Tech leaks Igor Bogdanov show two disguised drones, apparently made of Insta360. One seems to be an ultra-light weight DJI Neo-style model with built-in propeller guards, while the other is slightly larger with unfolded propeller arms similar to the form of DJI Mini or Air Ranges.

Both models are wrapped to hide their design, but the wrapping on the larger model clearly says ‘Antigravity’. Is this the name of the Insta360’s drone series, or just a code name for drones in development? We’ll have to wait a while to find out.
We also have to wait and see what features and specifications the two Insta360 drones had to offer. The smaller of the two offers no visible clues at all in its shape or design, but the larger, folding model seems to have an upward fishing lens on top. We assume that there is a similar lens event facing down, at the bottom.

DESTINY -SHEPS?
This immediately reminded us of the Insta360 sphere, the almost forgotten, 2022-free drone camera designed to be mounted on the DJI Air 2s or DJI Mavic Air 2.
With both up and down-facing ultra-covering cameras, the ball worked in about the same way as Insta360’s action cameras as the X5: Recording two separate videos, it would seamlessly participate in them (and remove all visible traces of the drone) to a single 360-degree video that could be edited and slowed down later.
Bringing class leaders 360 video creation to heaven can be a sure fire way for insta360 to separate from DJI in the drone market. Then DJI is also joined to launch its first 360 camera soon.
Despite its thorny relationship with the US government, DJI is currently head and shoulders over its drone competitors and offers the biggest and best drones for consumers. For Insta360 to get a part of this circle, the company may be releasing something a little different – and these new drones just represent a shift from what we’ve seen so far.
