- Benchmarks for iPhone 16E has been shown online
- Performance and RAM -details are revealed
- The handset is sold next Friday, February 28
While Apple has now revealed the iPhone 16E, it is actually not available to buy for another week – and before February 28 -date, Benchmarks has turned out online that tells us a little more about the latest iPhone.
As discovered by MYSMARTPRICE, the information apparently includes here, the effect of the reduced GPU core number on the A18 processor: It has a 4-core GPU, rather than the 5-core GPU on the iPhone 16 flag ships.
This means a drop of approx. 15% in graphics performance conditions compared to iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. It is a difference that is worth paying attention to, although it is unlikely that it is so noticeable if you compared the handset side by side.
The Geekbone list also confirms the iPhone 16E has 8 GB of RAM, which is something that was assumed broadly but has not been mentioned specifically by Apple. It’s a jump from 4 GB on iPhone SE 3, partly to add support to Apple Intelligence.
Specifications comparisons
The last little bit of information from the MySmartPrice report suggests that the iPhone 16E will offer a cable charging speed of 29W according to a Chinese regulator certification – another upgrade over iPhone SE 3 that provided 20W.
As you can see on the iPhone 16E specs page, Apple typically doesn’t show every last detail of its devices. We do not yet know the phone’s battery capacity, although up to 26 hours of video playback on a single charge is mentioned (beats the 22 hours on the iPhone 16).
Pre -control is now live for the iPhone 16E and you may have decided whether you pick up this phone or not – but if you are still unsure, these extra details can help you get to a decision one way or the other.
While the iPhone 16E stacks well against the more expensive iPhone 16, some features are missing (including Magsafe), so if you choose between the two, it is important to do a thorough comparison check before buying.
