- New reproductions show the alleged colors that come to the iPhone 17 Pro series
- Information about the iPhone 17 colors has also leaked out
- IPhone 17 Pro may also get an even stronger screen
We don’t usually get a look at Apple’s upcoming iPhones until the company reveals them at its launch event in September. But it’s all changed with the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, as Appleinsider has produced a set of reproductions, as it says, is based on “prevailing rumors and speculation.”
Much of this speculation is based on a Macworld report earlier this week, which claimed to have got an “internal document” used by Apple to detail the upcoming colors, complete with Pantone color names.
Now, AppleInsider has used this information to use in its reproductions. The pictures show the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max in five colors: orange, dark blue, gray, black and silver.
It is a right departure from the colors found in the iPhone 16 Pro series. Although the black and gray tones will reportedly correspond to the black titanium and natural titanium on the iPhone 16 Pro, the orange, dark blue and silver shades do not vote with any color currently in use in a Pro-Tier iPhone.
Appleinsider did not provide reproductions for the non-pro-devices in the iPhone 17 Series, which is set to include iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air. However, Macworld’s recent leakage gives us a few hints of what we might see there too.
According to Macworld’s report, the iPhone 17 will apparently be available in six different options: black, white, steel gray, green, purple and light blue. The black and white tones will be the same as the ones you find in the iPhone 16, where the other four are new.
As for the iPhone 17 air, it will reportedly come in black, white, light blue and light gold – colors required by Leaker Majin Buer earlier in July. While its black shade will be the same as the one found in the iPhone 16, the white setting will be a touch lighter compared to that device.
An even stronger screen

The new colors are not the only enticing iPhone 17 Pro leakage that has just appeared. According to a source that speaks to macumors, the iPhone 17 Pro was able to get a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective screen that provides more protection than Apple’s current ceramic shield protection glass.
What is unusual is that this technique was originally moved in March 2024, but it was later suggested that production questions meant that Apple could put it on. Now it seems to be on the way again – although only in the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, not iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Air.
Given the back and forth history of this feature, we take this latest rumor with a dose of skepticism. But if Apple is able to strengthen the iPhone 17 Pro’s display – and offer the device in a number of exciting new colors – it can be a tempting device when launched later in the year.
