- Apple is jerked to divide the iPhone -launching plan
- The changes could be made in 2026
- Apple wants to increase the sale of all four flagship models
For many years now we are used to the Apple launch of its best iPhones all every September – most recently the iPhone 16 series – but if a new report is to be believed, this planning could be set to a greater shaking in the coming years.
According to the information (via macumors), Apple plans to stick to September releases to Pro and Pro Max models while changing the other iPhones to spring in the United States (so presumably around March time).
The idea is that the breakdown of the iPhone launches like this will “rejuvenate long-making sales,” says the report from the information. There also seems to be some uncertainty about how well the upcoming, ultra -thin iPhone 17 Air will sell.
It looks like these changes are not scheduled for this year, but will instead be put in place next year – with iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone 18 Air Launching in September 2026 and Standard iPhone 18 and possibly iPhone 18e then arrived in March 2027.
All changes
The information recognizes that there are risks involved in shaking up this long -established schedule. However, it is believed that it will persuade consumers to upgrade more regularly, while facilitating the production pressure on Apple’s production partners.
Another reason for contact: giving way to the folding iPhone, expected sometime in 2026. Pushing the cheaper iPhones to a launch window earlier this year will mean more production capacity for a new model.
None of this is of course confirmed: We will have to wait and see what Apple is doing in the coming months. It is possible that Apple itself has not fully decided whether to try to mix its release plan in 2026 and 2027.
If the company goes through with it, it will be a significant shift in the annual telephone launch calendar. We’ve already seen Samsung and Google move their flagship phone launched to earlier this year – and it is possible that these movements are part of the reason Apple is thinking of its own renewal.
