Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal held a meeting with the British parliamentarians in Portcullis House Westminster on Wednesday and highlighted Pakistan’s deeply rooted economic and cultural ties with the United Kingdom.
He approached the collection and emphasized the government’s current focus on the development of Balochistan and ensured the uplifting of local communities through key infrastructure and investment projects.
He informed the parliamentarians of Uraan Pakistan, a national development initiative aimed at the holistic uplift of 240 million Pakistanis.
The Minister emphasized that the initiative was not tied to any specific government but was designed to promote economic and social progress.
Key features in the plan include specialized programs for Pakistani Diaspora, such as internships for youth and the “Champions of Reform” initiative that encourages British -Pakistani high performers to cooperate with the government in various sectors.
With the repetition of Pakistan’s obligation to strengthen global partnerships, the minister emphasized the importance of strategic ties with the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union.
He emphasized Pakistan’s focus on improving trade and financial cooperation with these central partners to achieve shared prosperity.
Previously, British MP Mohammad Yasin Iqbal welcomed the British parliament and praised his dedication to development projects in AJK.
