Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday called the regional situation very alarmingly due to escalated armed conflict between Iran and Israel, saying it posed threat not only to the regional but also to global peace.
The Prime Minister repeated Pakistan’s complete solidarity with brotherly land Iran and its people against Israeli aggression and called on the international community to make an effort to secure immediate ceasefire in the ongoing armed conflict.
The prime minister approached a meeting in the cabinet, which was broadcast on national television channels, saying that Pakistan had strongly condemned Israeli aggression against Iran, where hundreds of Iranian people lost their lives and a larger number of others were injured. “The global community was to secure a ceasefire,” he emphasized, expressing the optimism for lasting peace.
Digital economy
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday created a high -level selection to promote cashless economy and speed up digitalisation.
The committee, as chairman of the Prime Minister himself, will review the progress and initiatives related to the promotion of digitization and cashless economy on a weekly basis.
During the briefing, the meeting was informed that the traders were given instructions on digital payments and transfers of money on digital funds.
The meeting was also informed of the initiatives on the Ministries of Finance and Information Technology.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said the provision of equal educational and development opportunities for the economically weaker children remained among the government’s highest priorities.
The Prime Minister ordered that educational facilities in schools in crooked and university projects had to adapt to the international standards.
