Iran’s military chief discusses defense cooperation with COAS Asim Munir

Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Iranian Armed Forces, visited Pakistan Headquarters (GHQ) and met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, the military’s media wing said on Monday.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the prevailing regional security environment and explored opportunities for bilateral defense cooperation, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

On arrival, Major General Bagheri laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada and paid tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan. He was accorded a guard of honor by a smartly attended contingent of the Pakistan Army.

The visit underscores both nations’ continued efforts to strengthen regional security ties and strengthen bilateral military cooperation.
