- Deepseek is now the most popular free app in the US and British stores
- But the chatgpt -rival seems to fight to cope with demand
- The Chinese Start -up is experiencing server interruptions and login problems
Deepseek is the most popular app in the world right now, and AI -Chatboten might be struggling to meet demand.
The new chatgpt competitor created by a Chinese start-up is experiencing service interruptions, and the company’s status page claims it is investigating possible causes.
AI Chatbot has won worldwide recognition over the past week or so for its incredible reasoning, which is completely free and on par with Openais O1 model. According to the company’s status page, there is a problem that prevents users from signing up and accessing Deepseek and its Dybthink R1 AI model.
While I have not experienced any problems with the app or site on my iPhone, I encountered problems on my Pixel 8A when I wrote a Deepseek vs chatgpt -comparison earlier today. It seems that the creation of new accounts causes deepseek problems, often showing errors when a user tries to send a prompt.
The latest event seems to be resolved from 1 p.m. 21.32 Chinese local time (8.32 AM ET / 1.32 PM GMT). But given the huge influx of users, there may be additional problems during Monday and the rest of the week.
Dental problems
Deepseek has taken the world by storm by offering an AI-Chatbot that is just as good, if not better than Opena’s class leading chat.
While it is excellent for people who want to get their hands on a free AI with tremendous capacity, it can lead to problems and power cuts more often when the servers are struggling to meet demand.
We monitor this power outage and potential future carefully, so keep an eye on Techradar for all your Deepseek news.
