Is iCloud down? Live updates that Apple reports problems with web apps, photos and more

Refresh

Although Apple’s status page has not been updated with any new status, iCloud.com will be loaded for me after a few minutes. Although my account photo is missing, I see the regular old slate of apps and I saw an email message slip through the top.

It seems that one of Apple’s most important services can recover, and the down detector also shows a decrease in reported power cuts. The iCloud page on this site is currently at 380 reported power cuts from 17:04 one.

I still can’t get iCloud.com to load fully, but on my iPhone I just had a pop-up for Apple account verification for my account. I went into settings, but then had that mistake out when I tried to complete the request.

My colleague Lance Ulanoff’s Apple account page in settings presents a ‘verification failed’ splash screen on his iPhone.

iCloud.com is still loading, but it still shows the same ‘connection error’ pop-up on my end. And here’s a look at the current list of affected problems on Apple’s status page.

At the moment, it does not spread beyond iCloud, so there is no influence on the App Store or Apple Music.

  • Find my – problem
  • iCloud Account & Login – Edition
  • iCloud Mail – Problem
  • iCloud Storage Upgrade – Problem
  • iCloud Web Apps (iCloud.com) – Stop
  • iWork to iCloud – Power Discontinue
  • Photos – problem

The only non-Unsicloud problem or power outage is with ‘Apple Business Essentials’ currently listed as a problem, a loose power outage and a dissolved problem.

Find my have problems too

Apple has updated its status page to note that ‘Find My’ as well as ‘iCloud Account & Login’ both experience problems. The latter regarding account and login has the same start time as the other problems and power outage, but ‘Find Mine’ shows a start time of at. 15:57 et.

Find mine seems to work for me on my Mac as it pulls through up -to -date places. However, a friend of mine just sent me a screenshot showing “Find my inaccessible.”

I just checked the photos app on my iPhone and on my Mac and none of them have not synchronized well over an hour for both. IPhone shows the last synchronized at. 14:03 one while my Mac was a little later at. 14:11 one, and I cannot force a synchronization for any of them.

I back my photos back to iCloud, so I’m in the affected group, it seems, for now.

Here are the affected parts of iCloud

Apple’s service status page is quite convenient during power cuts, so here’s a look at the currently affected parts of iCloud.

  • iCloud Mail – Problem
  • iCloud Storage Upgrade – Problem
  • iCloud Web Apps (iCloud.com) – Stop
  • iWork to iCloud – Power Discontinue
  • Photos – problem

Photos also have problems

While ‘Photos’ is only listed as a problem with Apple that notes that some user may have problems with the service, Techradar’s editor-in-the-out Lance Ulanoff let me know that when showing pictures in the photos app on his iPhone, the images were rotated at lower resolution that potentially pointed to problems that gained access to shots from iCloud.

However, this has solved for him and is now loaded into full resolution. Trying to see photos on iCloud.com is not working at all right now as I still see a connection error there.

And Apple at least instructs its services to notify you when something is wrong. I am now seeing a screen for ‘Connection Error’ appears and informs me that something is up.

I have also heard from colleagues and at least one friend that they see this same pop-up either before logging in or trying to return to an active session at iCloud.com.

While I was able to log in to iCloud.com just minutes ago, when I load it now, nothing but the logo will appear in the upper left.

From 1 p.m. 14.36 a showing Apple’s iCloud status page a power outage for ‘iCloud web apps (iCloud.com)’ and ‘iWork for iCloud’, which notes that some users are affected by problems accessing or using parts of these services.
