- Google Pixel -Phones are experiencing a few errors
- They appear to be caused by the recent security update
- There is no official solution but a few possible solutions
It’s not a good time for Google at the moment. Its Chromescasts have Casting Errors, Google Maps apparently deletes timelines, and now Google Pixel phone users, audio and haptics -bugs are reporting after rolling out the latest security party.
Users have taken to Google Pixel Subbreddit to complain about random brightness fluctuations, audio errors, when using third-party EQ apps like Poweramp EQ, and feels like the haptics are much more intense after the update (stained by 9TO5GOOGLE).
Fortunately, there are a few proposed corrections, though we are still waiting for an official patch from Google itself.
When it comes to the screen brightness that flickers in certain apps, some users have found to set their phone’s update speed to 60Hz using features like battery pars did the trick (though not an ideal solution).
A few possible solutions
On Haptik’s side of the things, Google has said (via Reddit) that it “looks at reports from some pixel users about changes in haptic intensity” with what also gives advice on how to change haptic intensity of your pixel device by entering settings, sound and vibration and then vibration and haptik.
As for sound, you may need to do without your third -party equalization for now.
We do not experience the problems ourselves, so we cannot test out these tactics, but affected users say the solution works – so they are something to try while waiting for a more permanent solution if the errors bother you.
As for the few of you who may have somehow postponed to install the latest security update due to these errors, you may want to consider. Glitches can be frustrating, but not everyone who is updated has been affected and not installing important security fixes can put your device at risk – which can lead to problems that are much greater than your screen lighting.
