Islamabad police ending the security of PSL-10 teams prior to the opening match

The Islamabad police have completed their security arrangements for teams participating in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) X.

The measures were completed after an inspection of key tax points and team stays of SSP Security, Muhammad Sarfaraz Virk.

Virk, which acted after orders from the Islamabad police Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasized the use of advanced technology to ensure players’ safety and smooth behavior of matches in rawalpindi.

The season’s opening match takes place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Friday with Islamabad United against Lahore Qalandars, which starts at 1 p.m. 20:30.

Police have committed to implement all available resources to guarantee fool -proof security during the tournament.

Match officials to PSL

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday appointed 13 Umpires and seven fighting referees to work the opening of 30 matches in the 10th edition of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), beginning on April 11.

The official panel for PSL 10 includes three members of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires – Ahsan Raza, Paul Reifel and Kumar Dharmasena. They are with Aleem Dar, Asif Yaqoob, Faisal Khan Aafreedi and Rashid Riaz Waqar from PCB International Panel of Umpires.

Four Umpires from the PCB Elite Panel – Abdul Moqet, Nasir Hussain, Tariq Rasheed and Zulfiqar Jan – Complete the list.

PCB has also announced a seven-member fighting judge’s panel led by ICC Elite Panel Judge Ranjan Madugalle and colleague Sri Lankan Roshan Mahanama. They will work with Ali Naqvi, Muhammad Javed Malik, Iftikhar Ahmed, Iqbal Sheikh and Nadeem Arshad.

Officials for the last four matches – the qualification, two eliminators and the final – will be named later.

Tournament opener on April 11 will see that the defending masters Islamabad United are taking Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The six-team event includes 34 matches played over Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi and Multan until the final on May 18.

Lahores Gaddafi Stadium hosts 13 matches, including both eliminators and the final. Rawalpindi will phase 11 games, including the qualification on May 13. Karachi and Multan host five matches each.

Three double heads are scheduled during the competition two on Saturdays and one on Labor Day, May 1st.
