- Forza Horizon 6 is officially announced, despite the fact that Microsoft was revealed by Microsoft.
- The next entry will be put in Japan
- It arrives in 2026
Playground Games has officially announced that the next post in its Forza Horizon The series will be put in Japan and it will be launched in 2026 to Xbox and PC.
Forza Horizon 6 Was revealed during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 today with a short kinematic teaser trailer showing the license plates and rankings from previous rates before finally revealing Japan as the setting for the next game.
Unfortunately, the video lasted only one minute, so there is not much we can collect from the message. However, Mount Fuji appears, suggesting that the landmark will be a background for one of the game’s racing tracks.
Microsoft was accidentally advertised Forza Horizon 6 In an Instagram post on the official Forza Horizon Account prior to the event with the heading “Horizon Festival is on its way to Japan. Coming 2026” so the message was not a total surprise to some.

In a new Xbox Wire Post, art director Don Arceta and cultural consultant Kyoko Yamashita discussed the new Japanese surroundings and how it will be reflected in the game.
“For a long time, Japan has been the top of Horizon fans’ wish lists, so we’re glad to finally bring this much sought-after place to players in Forza Horizon 6“Said Arceta.
“Japan has such a unique culture – from cars, to music, to fashion – that makes it perfect for the next Horizon Setting. As with anyone Horizon Title, we will make sure we do the land justice with regard to authentic representation and Horizon Open World Playability – and now is the right time to realize it fully for players. “
The developers could not dive into the finer details, but they confirmed that players will be on their way to “both natural and urban environments” in Forza Horizon 6.
“From Neon lights and towering buildings in Tokyo City – one of our most detailed and layered environments to date – to serenity and natural beauty in Japan’s rural and mountain areas, we believe players will be blown up by the open world of Japan we have built,” Arceta explained.
“And while we are not necessarily trying to recreate Japan and its environments as for the same, our goal has always been to capture the country’s unique cultural essence and present it back in the most possible horizontic way.”
