BallerinaDirector has revealed that it was Keanu Reeves’ idea of ending action thriller in the same way as the other John Wick movie.
In a speech ahead of the film’s global release on June 6, Len Wiseman Techradar told Reeves, who plays the franchise’s titular Hitman, suggested it Ballerina‘s last scene should mirror it in 2017’s John Wick: Chapter 2.

Ballerina Ends with Ana de Armas’ Eve Macarro seeing her close friend, who was also a Ruska Roma-murderer-in-training before being kicked out of the director, reaching her dream of becoming a fully expanded ballet dancer.
However, when Macarro sees her performance at a local theater, however, the footage is Ispedd someone who postpones a contract affected by the titular character. Numerous phones – owned by other hitmen, no less – begin to ping and buzz in the theater, which Macarro quickly becomes aware of. That’s because Wick executed a colleague assassins because of the New York branch of the continental, a chain of Hitman Safohouses, which is a big no. Then a bounty is reluctantly placed on Wick’s head by Winston Scott, the continental New York manager and Wick’s Ally. When Wick flees from the stage, the murderers in his presence begin to call to notify them of the rewards of the one who successfully takes wick.
“When Keanu and I collected [his on-screen involvement] in BallerinaWe talked about how this movie would end, “Wiseman told me,” and that the ending was all Keanu’s idea. He wanted the last minute to be a riff on the last minute of the second movie, talking to the theme ‘Actions and Consequences’ that run through these films. “
As obvious as it is to say, the open character of From John Wick’s World: Ballerina‘s last scene teases the possibility of MacArro’s journey continuing in Lionsgate’s business of several billion dollars. So, Wiseman has any thoughts about where this Armas-led movie series could go next time in Wick-Vers?
“In a fantasy kind of way, yes, I have my ideas [of where a follow-up could go]”Wiseman replied when I asked about potential successor plans.” But I want to hear what people are responding to in this movie first. I hope there is speculation from fans about who they think is coming after Eva because we do not actually know who it is. “
Wiseman is not the only role crew and crew member who wants one of 2025’s new films to create a future rate in Wick World.
In a separate chat, Norman Reedus, who plays the criminal under -utilized Daniel (read more about why I think that’s the case in my Ballerina Review), said he thinks there is much more to explore with his character. In fact, the only things we really know about Daniel are that he is the son of Gabriel Byrne’s now-deceased cult leader known as the chancellor has a daughter and survived Ballerina‘s events thanks to macarro.
“I would very much like to do all these things,” Reedus said when I asked if he wanted to have his own spin-off movie, appear in Ballerina 2and/or appears in John Wick Chapter 5. “Let’s put it out there in the universe. I mean it’s a no-brainer and if this movie is doing well, who knows what the future has?”
