Wnba does what it can to get more eyeballs on its biggest superstar, Caitlin Clark.
Six WNBA teams have already moved games against Indiana Fever to larger venues, and the fever plays 41 of their 44 matches on national TV this season.
It’s the most national TV games for any team in the league, even more than the reigning champion New York Liberty, who gets 33 matches shown on national TV.

This planning is “kind of crazy,” said one of Wnba’s top players.
“Obviously, people want to watch Caitlin play and you have to put the people on TV that people want to watch. But at the same time there are stars everywhere in the league and you also want good basketball,” said Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier on Tuesday’s “First” at ESPN. “Obviously, Indiana … will be a good team, but not to have those defense masters on TV anymore, I think it’s a little crazy.”
Clark has been the victim of some criticism both on and off the field from other WNBA players. However, Collier made sure to clarify that this was not a shot against Clark or the fever.

“It doesn’t have to be where you take games away from Indiana, but I think you can raise the level of TV games to the other teams too … [The Fever] Should have these amounts on TV on primetime, but I think other teams should have more than what they have. “
Clark’s presence in the sport has brought historical viewership to college and pro basketball. The last three matches in her college career were the most seen Women’s College Basketball Games ever.
