- Google has revealed that Gemini is coming to Google Smart Home devices and an event is scheduled for October 1
- This is the first time we see Gemini for the home’s capabilities when it was first mentioned last month made by Google Event
- Not only do we expect more gemini -integrations that is a new line with Google Smart Home devices on the way too
Google has spent a great deal of time phasing out Google Assistant across its range of devices so Gemini can rule. Now it finally comes to Google’s line with smart home products – and we already have a launch date.
Google dropped the message in a post on X (see below) and revealed that Gemini for the home Early Access is launched on October 1 and encouraged users to sign up for updates. According to Engadget, Gemini for the home will be available in both free and paid versions, but this is not yet safe.

Google first revealed Gemini to the home at Created by the Google event in August, but gave no live demonstrations of its capabilities. Despite this absence, we expect Google to deliver its first look of Gemini’s smart home features on October 1st.
According to Google’s blog post, Gemini is for Home ‘a brand new, more powerful assistant’ and will have the ability to give the answers to your more complex voice commands. For example, you can ask Gemini on your smart speaker or Smart Display to play a song from a certain decade or even ask it to set your NESTE thermostat to a certain temperature while the lights dampen the lights.
Gemini integration with Google’s Smart Home devices has been long, so this is pretty exciting news. But Gemini for home is not the only thing we expect to perform.
Hello new smart home units
In addition to the arrival of Gemini for home, we expect Google to reveal new Smart Home Hallware – Details of which ones were leaked a few weeks back.
One of the most important devices we expect is a new nest camera that Google teased in its post. Although it has a striking resemblance to the existing Google Nest -Cam, it is likely that it will be a whole new model with Gemini integration as well as other upgraded features. We also would not rule out the possibility of a new nest -died bell appearing – but it is the new smart speaker that I am looking for.
Last month made by the Google event, we caught a quick snapshot of a mysterious nest smart speaker, but Google never came with an explanation and left us in the dark with burning questions. Now that we have the upcoming Gemini for home event on the horizon, a new Google Nest speaker is probably one of the launch’s shining stars.
Since Google has not upgraded its line with smart speakers since Nest -Sound in 2021, the company has had plenty of time to give its new model some TLC on the voice assistant front. Now that Alexa+ has rolled out for users in the US and Apple’s upgraded Siri is on the way, it will be interesting to see what Google will do to get ahead of its competitors.
