- Microsoft has collaborated with 1password to improve the Baskey -Integration

- Microsoft phasing out steady passwords to Pakkeys
Microsoft has rolled out a test feature to improve Passkey Support on Windows.
A new partnership with one of the best password administrators, 1password, allows users to sync their credentials and Paskes on Windows 11.
Microsoft has also released a legitimation manager API plugin to allow other password managers to integrate with Windows.
Passkey -Integration for Windows
The new feature has been released in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5670 (KB5060838) update in the development channel and users who want to test the new feature must:
- Install 1password beta on your Windows 11 -PC.
- Go to Settings> Passkeyys> Advanced Settings to enable Plugin Legitimation Manager.
- Change support and complete user verification with Windows Hello (face, fingerprint or pin).
- You can now use your existing parcel towns hidden in plugin credentials or save new Pakkeys.
Better Passkey integration is something that many Windows users have been waiting for, with the current dependence on third-party apps and sites that are a bit clumsy.
Microsoft has constantly phased out passwords in favor of bags that are much more secure and phishing-resistant. Just a few days ago, Microsoft announced that the phase -out saved passwords in the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Come August 2025, Microsoft Authenticator deletes all saved passwords and will not allow you to create new saved passwords or autofill your credentials. Instead, you will now be asked to use Pakkeys by default when you create a Microsoft account.
