Security forces killed 27 militants and saved over 150 hostages in an approval operation launched after an unknown number of heavily armed terrorists stormed a Peshawar-bound train in Balochistan’s Bolan District, expressed Express News on Wednesday.

Sources show that a malicious campaign on social media is trying to panic among the public. Accounts on social media linked to terrorists are also working with Indian media to spread anti-Pakistan rhetoric.

Security sources stated that Indian media mislead the public by sending analyzes from self-equipped Baloch leaders sitting outside Pakistan. People are misled and the public is advisable to rely on credible sources of information rather than the misleading and fabricated propaganda spread on social media.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shhebaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack on Jaffer Express and said attacks on innocent passengers are inhuman and reprehensible.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack and said, “The animals that shoot on innocent passengers deserve no concessions.” He also expressed his hope of rapid improvement of those injured in the attack.

The incident has raised concerns about the security of the railways passing through remote areas of the province. However, officials have assured the public that measures will be taken to prevent such attacks in the future.

Last November, at least 26 people, including 16 security staff, lost their lives, and 61 others were injured in a suicide bombing at a Quetta essentials.
