The driver of Jaffar Express has described the scary moment that militant attacked the train as the survivors praised the military for their rescue.
In a speech after the attack, Amjad described how the militants first detonated an explosive under the train’s engine, causing bogies to derive.
“As soon as the train stopped, the Balochistan Liberation Army (Bla) terrorists launched an attack,” he said.
Meanwhile, one of the released passengers remembered how attackers took them hostage after the explosion.
“They kept us with gun, but the commands risked their own lives to save us,” he said, adding that the military’s courage gave them strength during the trial.
The test began on Tuesday, when separatist militants adhered to Jaffar Express on the way from Quetta to Peshawar, the railway track jumped up and attacked the train with rockets.
Security forces stormed the hijacked Jaffar Express on Wednesday and brought a dramatic ending to a 30-hour siege in the harsh Bolan area of Balochistan, killing all 33 terrorists while successfully saving more than 300 passengers.
LT genes Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the top military spokesman, revealed that 21 hostages lost their lives during the day-long resistance.
