Jacksonville Jaguars-Rokie Travis Hunter had a full-circel moment with a woman he met on a plane just days after the organization chose him with No. 2 election of the NFL draft.
The meeting with Sandy Hawkins Combs took place in May. On Monday night, before the team took on Kansas City Chiefs, Hunter and Combs embraced and took a photo on the field before kickoff.

Combs seemed to be a little surprised by the moment.
The serendipithous meeting between Hunter and Combs appeared in a social media post.
“I had the most wonderful flight home from Denver. I met the best young man sitting next to me. He offered to put my bag in the main room and helped me with my tray. He was always polite and said ‘yes ma’am’ or ‘no ma’am.’ Anyone would be proud to have him as a son or grandson – so polite, “Combs said of Hunter in a Facebook post.
At this point, however, Combs still had no idea who this stranger was. But then other passengers began to notice him.

“People who passed by, said congratulations, good job or even took pictures. I turned and asked him, ‘Who sitting next to?’ I looked at his Jaguar pants, smiled and asked, ‘Are you an athlete?’ He smiled and said, ‘I’m travels.
“He’s so humble and down-to-earth-I would never have guessed he was a professional athlete. Jacksonville Jags, you did well!
For Hunter it was just a regular speech with Combs.
“It was just a regular interaction. It was me that I was me,” Hunter said days later. “A lovely lady was sitting next to me, we talked and made sure I took care of her as if I are doing my grandparents or any older person. So yes, that was all it was.”
