James Gunn recently called his brother Sean Gunn’s Cameo in Peacemaker Season 2 -Premiere “Perfect.”
In a talk with PEOPLE Magazine in Season 2 premiere of the DCU series in New York City’s AMC Lincoln Theater On August 13, the 59-year-old American filmmaker revealed why he decided to throw his brother Sean and other more familiar faces from the newly released Super Hit Superman movie in Peacemaker.
Gunn said, “For this show it was really about what we needed for the story of peace maker.”
Especially in the teaser trailer, John Cena’s Peacemaker Goes through an audition to participate in Justice in an interview taken by three superheroes, namely Isabela Merced’s Hawkgirl, Sean’s Maxwell Lord and Nathan Fillion’s green lanterns, leading to rebellious results.
The Avengers: Endgame The Creator added jokingly, “We have the two justice gang -members and not Mr. Terrific [Edi Gathegi] Because Mr. Terrific is too together and kind of too nice for these three people. These 3 people are much more meaningful, so we needed three people who would choose on peace makers in that scene and it was perfect. “
Gunn, who has led the DC universe with Peter Safran since 2022, continued to share why he did not end the history of the peace creator, where he quipped, “I think the first season of peace creator is really about this character, which is expressed that he has these demons that have motivated him, has pushed him for all his whole life.”
For the unwarterized, Peacemaker Season 1 came out in 2022, after the character first appeared in the legendary director 2021 movie Suicide Squad A year before, he took over and saffron the reins of DCU.
Now more than three years later, Gunn admitted that he felt there was more room for the peacemaker’s tale for Chronicle.
“This season is that he actually has to deal with these demons and confront these demons head-on,” he noted.
