James van der Beek is happy to announce his latest role after his cancer diagnosis.
The 48-year-old actor went to his official Instagram account on Thursday 15 May to reveal that he is taking a recurring guest role in Ellethe upcoming prequel of Legally Blonde.
“So this is exciting … I go back to work a little,” he announced enthusiastically.
“Super excited to participate in this amazing role crew in such a fun project. Almost as excited as my wife and girls is that I do this #legaly blonde #elle,” he added.

Van der Beek’s wife Kimberly turned out to be a supportive partner who went to his Instagram grip to celebrate the actor’s return to acting.
“Annabel and I needed this!” Kimberly wrote in the comment section.
It is relevant to mention that van der Beek shares six children with his wife Kimberly.
