After the devastating and deadly Los Angeles fires, Jamie Lee Curtis is finally back in her home two weeks after the evacuation.
The 66-year-old actor took to his social media account and posted an adorable video of a blue jay quenching his thirst by diving into standing water on a stone bowl in Curtis’ backyard at his LA home
Curtis shared his feelings about being rescued from the wildfires, writing on his Instagram: “We made it back to our house intact.”
“As we left and thanked the security teams and the local boys, this beautiful bluebird reminder of nature and the wildlife that lives among us in our canyon survived in the midst of this terrible, terrible, terrible wildfire that has taken so much, so badly. “
Earlier this month, Curtis announced that she is donating $1 million to her community, which is suffering from the fires and its aftermath.
In a recent appearance on Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Last Showgirl actress called the forest fire “a really terrible situation.”
“As you know, where I live right now is on fire. The whole town of Pacific Palisades is on fire. I flew here last night, I was on the plane, started getting texts and it’s f****** crackling, du It’s just a disaster in Southern California, she told Fallon at the time.
“So it’s — it’s a really horrible situation. I’m going to, you know, obviously go home first thing tomorrow and be with my family and try to help my friends,” she added.
