Janet Jackson is ready to receive the ICON award at the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAS).
Along with being awarded the credit for her “undeniable cultural and global influence” Janet appears at the ceremony on May 26.
This would mark her first TV performance in seven years and respond to this milestone, the 58-year-old musician wrote in his official Instagram account, “Thank you so much, Amas !! It’s an honor. We look forward to being on your stage again. See you in Vegas! (Sic).”
The Scream Hitmaker, the sister of the late icon Michael Jackson, would follow the footsteps of artists such as Lionel Richie and Rihanna.
As for the American Music Awards, it would be held at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas and will host Jennifer Lopez.
With the most nominations stands Kendrick Lamar who scored nods by grace in his latest album, Gnx, In the categories including this year’s album and Song of the Year for his Drake Diss -Sang Not like us.
He will also compete against sensations such as Chappell Roan, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift on this year’s category.
