JBL BAR RANGE: Features
Each audio bar in JBL’s Bar MK2 series comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Google Castify Connect, Tidal Connect and Ready features. All except the bar 300MK2 supports Amazon Music HD, although the bar 300MK2 supports Samsung’s SmartThings.
Each sound beam in the area also supports Dolby Atmos somehow with the flagship beam 1300mk2 and bar 1000MK2, which supports real Dolby atmos, while the three step-down models support Virtual Dolby Atmos.
It is also worth noting that only the bar 1300mk2 and bar 1000MK2 supports DTS: X at the launch. The other three receive DTS: Virtual X later in the year via an update.
As for other technologies, all sound beams will support JBL’s Multibeam 3.0 tech, which is said to create a deep, surround sound experience from a single sound bar. They will all support Purevoice 2.0 for improved dialogue and speech.
All sound beams are also compatible with the JBL One platform, compatible with the JBL One app for streaming hi-res and spatial sound from compatible music services.
To put flagship dolby atmos sound beams on notice?

We have been spoiled for election when it comes to the best Dolby Atmos audio beams in recent months. Both Sonos ARC Ultra and Marshall Heston 120 have proved to be excellent all-in-one sound beams for less than $ 1,000, which earns 4-out-of-5 and 5-out-of-5 stars in their reviews respectively.
Last year, Samsung HW-Q990D cemented himself as our favorite multi-box system solution thanks to its incredible power and immersive, nuanced sound and we look forward to getting our hands on his successor, Samsung HW-Q990F, very soon.
But could JBL BAR 1300MK2 and bar 1000MK2 be putting these sound beams on notice? In terms of features, both bars are the jam pack with ready -made support for streaming services (although they are also their rivals), but it is the bar 1300 MK2’s removable rear speakers that make it stand out: something we loved by its predecessor, the bar 1300x as we went through it. Keeping your speaker setup is a practical solution when not in use.
The 1000MK2 bar is perhaps a little more expensive than Sonos Arc Ultra and Marshall Heston 120 ($ 200 more to be precise), but it has the added advantage of an included subwoofer that is likely to give it an advantage in the bass department.
The JBL bar 1300 MK2, which is priced at $ 1,699, seems to be launching at a similar price such as Samsung HW-Q990F, which has dropped to $ 1,599.99 recently, but offers 2,470W total power to Q990F’s 756W, which would actually put it more in line with JBL BAR 1000MK2.
On paper, the JBL bars have all the potential of offering more power to the similar prices as a lot of rivals, and if it can get the benefit right, JBL could really shake the Dolby Atmos Soundbar market again.
