During the Gamescom 2025, JBL revealed three new models in its Quantum Headset series, sporting a new design and with upgraded sound technology.
On the way up line-up, the JBL Quantum 950 is with JBL Quantum 650 and JBL Quantum 250, each bringing pro-grade sound technology to players and offers comfort at the next level and elite sound precision.
The Quantum 950 was built from scratch and has JBL’s brand new 50mm carbon dynamic drivers that supply rich, hi-res certified sound with ultra-low distortion.
With improved high -frequency response, players will be able to identify subtle signals in the game, such as footprints, reloads and position changes that other heads may miss.
It also boasts JBL Quantum Spatial Sound, driven by the new JBL Quantumengine, 3D head tracking and active noise reduction for an immersive gaming experience.
“No competitor offers this level of acoustic technology,” said Carsten Olesen, president of consumer sound at Harman. “Our expertise in sound innovation shines through in the new JBL Quantum headset and the redesigned JBL Quantumengine software. We have developed gaming sound at professional level and made it accessible to everyone.”
950 also offers a light design and JBL’s new patented hammock -paddle with a breathable mesh suspension for better weight distribution and memory foam pads for long game sessions.
JBL’s latest model upgrades from a 4 mm to a 6 mm cardioid boom microphone that enhance vocal clarity and team committees while using integrated AI noise reduction, optimized via the JBL Quantumengine software.
As for battery life, the Quantum 950 offers a hot-swapable double battery system that can be dropped at the included base station. It also includes the possibilities of jumping between Low Laten’s 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.3 or wired connection options that fit the player’s needs.
Meanwhile, JBL Quantum 650 brings much of what 950 offers, including JBL Quantum Spatial Sound, the new 50 mm carbon dynamic drivers and hot-swappable battery support. It also supports the same flexible connection: 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.3 and the cable.
The JBL Quantum 250 is the cheapest model out of the flock and is designed with “plug-and-play simplicity” in mind and delivers wired performance across a variety of platforms including PC, Mac, console and mobile. It is easy like the other models and is built with the same modern, modular design and 50 mm precision drivers that define the new JBL Quantum Series.
Each model comes in either black or white and has purple and orange accents as well as dynamic RGB lighting in the base station.
JBL Quantum 950, JBL Quantum 650 and JBL Quantum 250 can now be purchased in JBL Online Store. They cost £ 299.99, £ 129.99 and £ 49.99.
