JCP to review LHC additional judges’ appointments

Islamabad:

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi has convened a meeting of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on February 28 to consider the appointment of four additional judges to Lahore High Court (LHC).

The session will be held at. 14 in the conference room under CJP’s Presidency.

The Commission will assess the credentials of eight district and sessions judges, four of whom will be elected to LHC.

The candidates under consideration include District and Sessions judge Raja Ghaffar Ali Khan, District and Sessions Judge Qaiser Nazir Butt and District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Akmal Khan.

In addition, the Commission will consider the names of District and Sessions that Judge Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh, District and Sessions Jazeela Aslam and District and Sessions Judge Tariq Mehmood Bajwa.

Further discussions will also take place regarding District and Sessions, Judge Shahida Saeed and District and Sessions Judge Abher Yellow Khan.
