Jeff Lynnes Electric Light Orchestra’s London concert is set to the BST Hyde Park scene on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
The group is currently on their Over and out Goodbye tour, but a show at Manchester’s Co Up Live, scheduled for July 10, was interrupted just minutes before.
This prompted fans to express concern if Jeff and Elo would come to BST Hyde as the flooded social media with questions.
They received an update from the event’s social media team on X, formerly Twitter, that the performance would still take place as planned.
“As reported. Jeff Lynne was unwell and unable to perform Thursday 10 July. We are advised that there are currently no concerns about Sunday’s performance,” they informed.
The band has already broken silence on their cancellation at the last minute of Thursday’s performance and says on their social media, “Unfortunately due to illness, tonight’s scheduled performance by Jeff Lynnes Elo on Co-Op Live will not move on.”
“Jeff is destroyed by the fact that he cannot perform tonight. More information becomes available as soon as possible. For refund, go to your place of purchase,” they said further.
The 77-year-old English singer talked earlier about how planning Elo’s last show at BST Hyde Park was a suitable end to their tour as they played their first concert in the same place back in 2014.
He said, “My return to Touring started at Hyde Park in 2014,” added, “It seems to be the perfect place to do our last show. We couldn’t be more happy to share this special night in London with our British fans.
“As the song goes,” We do it once again! “” Jeff Lynne concluded at the time.
Elo, Electric Light Orchestra, was formed in 1970 by Jeff, Roy Wood from Wizzard and Bev Bevan as well as keyboardist Richard Tandy, who began his journey from 1972 until his death in May 2024.
