Jennifer Lopez allegedly covers the pain of failed marriages of her “best thing ever happened” comment on Ben Affleck -Skilsmisse.
Sources close to Lopez revealed to Radaronline.com That she “puts on a brave face, but behind closed doors she hurts.”
Lopez ended his divorce from Affleck earlier in January after separating ways in April 2024. They paired the knot back in 2022, and they resumed their romance two decades after waiving their commitment in 2003.
For the unwarterized, Lopez has been married four times in total and shares the twins Emme and Max with her third husband Marc Anthony.
The insider continued, “She tells people that the divorce was the best thing for her, but it is also a way of protecting herself. To say that she thrives, it makes it easier to deal with the fact that another marriage has ended in disappointment.”
Another source claimed that Lopez “is trying to refresh the story by saying it was the best thing that has ever happened to her.
“It’s some truth, part of self-storage. She thinks the experience changed her, but there is no one to deny that it has been painful. Her friends see her crying one day and smiling the next one is reality.”
During a recent conversation with CBS Sunday morningLopez reflected on working with Affleck while their marriage was completed, like her latest film, Kiss of the Spider Womanwas produced by Affleck and his friend Matt Damon’s company, Artists Equity.
“The movie wouldn’t have been made if it wasn’t for him and the artist’s equity. I always want to give him that credit. It was hard not to think about things, but it was like the best and worst time. Every moment of set … I was so happy. And then … at home it wasn’t good,” Lopez remembered at the time.
