Jennifer Lopez was blasted by a renowned American journalist during a pro-Trump rally the day before the Republican took office.
Megyn Kelly, a former FOX News journalist, mocked Lopez while referencing her marriage to Ben Affleck that ended in divorce in front of a crowd as she took the stage.
Speaking at Washington DC’s Capitol One Arena to celebrate Trump’s victory, she said: “The good news just keeps on coming. I woke up this morning, I was two inches taller, a pound thinner and I had skin like Jennifer López.”
“Speaking of J. Lo, how happy you are [that] her candidate lost? It’s so nice,” she said
“These Hollywood celebrities who come up there and try to tell us how to vote, really. I mean like the celebrities who don’t know anything about anything,” the Megyn Kelly Show host continued.
“The only thing J. Lo knows what to do is destroy marriages. She’s an expert at it. Why would she also try to destroy the country? So goodbye J. Lo, it didn’t work out for you,” she added in an apparent reference to the pop star’s recent divorce from Ben Affleck.
Following Kelly’s speech, Lopez took to her Instagram Stories to share a few clips from “Unstoppable,” choosing not to respond to the insults hurled at her during the rally.
Last October, Lopez, 55, spoke at Kamala Harris’ Las Vegas rally endorsing the Democratic nominee.
Megyn Kelly is also known as a staunch critic of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and recently launched an explosive tirade against the US-based royal couple for taking part in relief efforts following the devastating Los Angeles fires.
