Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has blown the federal and provincial governments and claimed that 44 percent of the population lived below the poverty line, while the ruling elite continued to project an illusion of good government through expensive media campaigns. JI chief approached a press conference at the party -headquarters in Mansoora and condemned the newly announced national budget as "Anti-people" As the burdened citizens with excessive taxes while offering some relief. He accused the government of using global oil prices as an excuse to increase fuel rates and argued that a 40 percent reduction in gasoline prices could be obtained if the petroleum tax was abolished.
"Government’s wasting spending and luxurious lifestyle must end if we want to put the country on the road of real development," he said. Naeem also threw the lean allocation of funds in the education sector, pointing out that despite budgetary requirements, the privatization of public schools indicated a lack of genuine investment in education. He further paralyzed the political leadership across provinces and said, "Uncle Rules in the Center, Nie in Punjab and their Allies in Sindh, all engaged in a manuscript political wrestling -fight".
