A joint investigative team (JIT) in Lahore has found Khawaja Aqeel alias Gogi Butt guilty of the high profiled murder of Ameer Balaj Tipu, it appeared on Tuesday.
According to Jit sources, Gogi Butt was instrumental in orchestrating the murder, maintaining communication with the primary accused, Khawaja Tareef alias Teefi Butt and other accomplices. He had previously been involved in several cases involving the Tipu family.
Jit intends to seek cancellation of GOGI Butt’s bail at an upcoming hearing.

Ameer Balaj Tipu was killed on February 19, 2024, during a wedding ceremony in Laores Chuhung area. The striker, identified as Muzaffar Hussain, a former gunman of Teefi Butt, Balaj Tipu shot over a long -lasting feud. Muzaffar was killed immediately after the attack.
Studies revealed that Ahsan Shah, a close association of the deceased, had provided critical information to the striker, facilitating the murder. Ahsan Shah was later killed in an alleged meeting.

Previously, Muhammad Javed Butt, the brother -in -law of Teefi Butt, was shot near the Muslim city diversity in Lahore. The case has drawn considerable attention due to the involvement of influential figures and the complex web of relationships and rivals in the region.
