ISLAMABAD:
Chairman Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Altaf Ahmed Bhat on Saturday reiterated the commitment of Kashmiris in their peaceful struggle for freedom and condemned the extrajudicial killings of civilians and the ongoing military occupation.
Bhat emphasized that the liberation movement is not against the Indian people but is rooted in the demand for self-determination promised under UN resolutions. He also called for increased international attention and urged the United Nations and human rights organizations to take action against the ongoing human rights violations in Kashmir.
Furthermore, Bhat emphasized that Pakistan’s active role is essential to bring global attention to the issue and push for the fulfillment of international obligations.
The observance of Black Day symbolizes the continued oppression faced by Kashmiris under Indian occupation and calls for solidarity both in the region and abroad.
