Jodie Foster is an academic winning actress, but she has long feared acting at French cinema.
However years later, The silence of the lamb Star said she had overcome her hesitation with her role in Vie Privée.
To remember the reason for feeling “too scared” in acting in French despite being fluent in the language, Jodie said, “I had secondary parts [in French films] Before, but I was actually scared. “
“A number of instructors offered me projects, but I was too scared to act in French. I thought someone who was more familiar with French should do it. But I don’t really remember how things worked this time,” she said in Cannes, where her film premiered.
Further at the press conference, Jodie said she had “wanted to do for a long time, but learning all the dialogue was a huge challenge.”
“The big thing is that when I shop in French, I’m a completely different person,” she noted.
With Jodie starring, Vie Privée will be out on November 26th.
