Former US President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones and undergoes treatment options, a statement from his office said Sunday.
On Friday, the 82-year-old Democrat was “diagnosed with prostate cancer … with metastasis to the bone,” the statement states.
“Although this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer seems to be hormone sensitive, which allows for effective handling.
The former president and his family are undergoing treatment options with his doctors, ”it continued.
The diagnosis came after the bite experienced increasing urine symptoms and was seen last week for a new finding of a prostate nod, the statement states.
The message comes when Biden maintains that he could have won the presidential election in 2024 after he fell out of the race because of questions about his age and abilities.
His vice president, Kamala Harris, eventually lost against Republican Donald Trump.
Last week, a recently published recording of Biden hesitated hesitantly and struggles to remember key events and dates, renewed debate about his mental abilities while still in office.
