2025 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Competition will include the legendary competitive Eater Joey Chestnut back on Coney Island Boardwalk after missing the competition 2024.
As a result, many believe he will regain his belt.
Chestnut’s partnership with impossible food caused a problem last year and it ended up keeping him out of the competition. This year, however, Chestnut announced that he and the organizers had found common grounds for sponsorships.

“I am excited to return to Nathan’s famous July fourth eatery competition. This event means the world to me. It is a loved tradition, a celebration of American culture and a huge part of my life,” Chestnut wrote on X.
“While I have and continues to collaborate with a number of companies, including some in the plant -based space, these conditions were never a conflict with my love for hot dogs. Being clear: Nathan’s is the only hot dog company I’ve ever worked with.

“I respect that there were differences in interpretation, but I am grateful that we have been able to find common ground. I am excited to be back on the Coney Island scene, do what I live to do, and celebrate the fourth of July with hot dogs in my hands! Stay hungry!”
Chestnut is hungry for being a master again, and sports books have no distant close to beating him.
Last year’s winner, Patrick Bertoletti, who ate 58 hot dogs in 10 minutes, has big odds of defeating Chestnut and the rest of the field.
If he wins, Chestnut would expand his record for the famous competition for 17 yellow belts.

Although he did not participate in last year’s competition, Chestnut went up against another legendary competitive Eater, Takeru Kobayashi, in a Netflix -Special event called “unfinished beef.” He ate 83 hot dogs that marked the most eaten in the story of competitive eating without being poured in water.
On the women’s side, Miki Sudo, who has won three times in a row now, is expected to have his 11 pink belt in Coney Island for his career. Her biggest competition will be Domenica Dee and Michelle Lesco, the latter of which broke Sudo’s Win Streak in 2021.
For those who are not aware of Nathan’s rules, the time limit is only 10 minutes in both men’s and women’s competitions.
The participant who consumes not only, but also stays, the most hot dogs and buns within the 10-minute limit are determined by the winner.
In the rare case, a tie arises, the competition goes to an untrimable “Eat-off”, where the first participant who has put down a specific number of hot dogs, with buns, wins.

Women’s competition takes place first at. 10:45 one before the men take the stage at noon on July 4th.
