John Turturro recently expressed his disgust over his fans’ tattoo tribute, especially when placed on “intimate” body parts.
In a talk with PEOPLE At SEVERANCE’S TO YOUR CONSIDERATION AND PANEL AT BELL WORKS IN NEW JERSEY (ALIAS THE REAL LIFE LUMON BUILDING) The 68-year-old actor and filmmaker strongly responded to the love he receives after playing Irving in Apple TV+ Series Resignation.
Turturro also discussed the effect of his now-viral line, “Yes, do it Seth!” And how going viral on social media has been a “brand new thing.”
He said, “Many years ago people didn’t have social media, so they would say these lines to you on the street or they would get tattoos of you.”
“Many people have tattoos of me on intimate parts of their bodies and they will sometimes show them to me and I like, ‘I don’t want to look at it’, do you know what I mean?” the Transformers The star added.
Turturro that is well aware of Resignation Online success, admitted that he prefers to stay away from all social media platforms.
He said, “I’m not really on social media because I don’t really want to read about myself, and then I don’t want to be self -conscious. I like to be free and forgetful.”
Taking into account the love he and his character, Irving, have received, Batman Hero noted, “You are always appreciated when the audience reacts because you do it for people. I do it for myself, but you hope it will reach someone.”
For the unwarterized, Resignation Was created by Dan Erickson and executive produced by Ben Stiller who chronicates the shady laps from Lumon Industries, a biotechnology company.
