Hype is real on Chapel Hill as celebrities and alumni flowed to see Bill Belichick’s debut as North Carolina Tar Heels’ new main football coach.
It was expected that many people would head to Kenan Stadium to see what Tar Heels could do, but the names that went over Monday night were amazing.
Among them, of course, was Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson, who was spotted in a suite along with Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss. Moss played his college football at Notre Dame and Marshall, but he was decorated in Carolina Blue cheers at Tar Heels.
But the celebrities only shone brighter as the cameras walked around the stadium.

After Tar Heels began the 2025 season with an opening drive Touchdown, Tar Heel’s legendary former main basketball coach Roy Williams in his own suite clapped with Michael Jordan, the UNC sensation, which turned into one of the best NBA players of all time.

Jordan was joked to be one of the alumni on the way to Kenan Stadium, and that would make sense that his “Jumpman” logo is all over Tar Heels uniforms and the accessories.
Another alumnus discovered at the stadium was the Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, New York Giants legend, which went second in 1981 the NFL draft out of Chapel Hill.
Even Aaron Boone, New York Yanke’s manager, took the time to see Tar Heels before his team faces Houston Astros on the road on Tuesday night.

From NFL legend Julius Peppers and Team USA Soccer star Mia Hamm to country music -singers Eric Church and Chase Rice, was the shower all over Chapel Hill on Monday night when everyone showed up to support Belichick as he embarks on a first in his famous coaching career.
Belichick may have the Super Bowls under his belt, but he has never taken the tip that is college -football, famous shocking everyone as he accepted North Carolina’s job this season. He worked quickly to get his staff together, including his son, Steve Belichick, who came from Washington to act as defensive coordinator.

The Tar heels are not -ranked to start the season, but like Colorado Buffaloes and the hype they got, with Deion Sanders who took over the program, Belichick’s team could work up the rankings when the year goes together.
