Dallas Cowboys said goodbye to some familiar faces in free agency this week.
DeMarcus Lawrence’s tenure with Dallas ended when he accepted a three-year deal with Seattle Seahawks, much for his former teammate, Micah Parsons.
Jourdan Lewis also left Dallas after accepting a three -year contract with Jacksonville Jaguars.
The 29-year-old defensive back revealed that he experienced some frustration during his eight seasons with cowboys.

A video appeared on social media by Jaguar’s defense coordinator Anthony Campanile, discussing how Lewis would fit into Jacksonville’s defensive scheme. A reporter who interviewed Campanile described Lewis as “the straw that stirred the drink” to Dallas’ defense.
The exchange apparently caught Lewis’ attention.
“See ribbon. It’s out there,” wrote the former cowboys star on X.

The comment seemed to raise concern for the way Lewis was deployed in his time with Cowboys’ defense. He noted that he served the “highest ranked slot cover quality” in the NFL. Lewis also suggested that defensive backs were responsible for sticking to the opposite wide recipient they were assigned through a given game.

“Highest ranked slot coverage quality and all we did was match and man,” Lewis wrote in another X -post.
Lewis also responded to a supporter who said the Philadelphia Eagles Cornerback Cooper Dejean is better than Lewis. The veteran asked the troll to watch movies when Cowboys played Carolina Panthers last season and when Eagles played Carolina.
Lewis spent eight seasons in Dallas after he was drafted in the third round out of Michigan in 2017. He had 330 total tackles, nine interceptions and nine fumble recovery during his tenure at Cowboys.

The saliva between Lawrence and Parsons was elicited by the former Cowboys Pass Rusher’s proposal that the franchise was unable to win a Super Bowl in the foreseeable future.
“A change in scenes is always good, but Dallas is my home. I lived home there, my family lives there. I will be there forever. But I certainly know I will not win a Super Bowl there, so yes. We here,” Lawrence said.
Parsons fired back and said, “This is what rejection and envy look like! This some clown s —!”
