Jui-F must decide on possible PTI-alliance after Eid, says FAZL

Jamat Disadvanta-e-Islam-Fazl (Jui-F) will decide a potential alliance with Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) after Eidul Fitr, party chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Saturday.

In a speech with journalists in Islamabad, FAZL confirmed that Jui-F’s Consulting Council will consider whether to join PTI in the launch of an anti-government movement.

He noted that although tension with PTI is relieved, the party remains internally shared with its most important leaders, including foundation chairman Imran Khan and Vice -President Shah Mahmood Qureshi, still behind pillars.

The Jui-F chief warned that unilateral political decisions could escalate tensions in the country. He added that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif could play a crucial role in the current political landscape.

FAZL also emphasized the need for dialogue about Balochistan and indicated that Juii-F could consider playing a role in Afghanistan-related questions if the state requested.

PTI has actively reached the opposition leaders under KHAN’s Directive to build an anti-government alliance.

In January, a PTI delegation formally invited FAZL to participate in the opposition block, Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP). Recently, PTI’s Asad Qaiser and Jui-F senator Kamran Murtaza formed a committee to facilitate further discussions.

Despite these efforts, a formal working relationship remains evasive. Jui-F has conveyed its conditions and concerns to PTI.
