Two children of Senior Jamat Disadvanta-e-Islam (Jui-F) leader Mufti Kifayatullah were shot to death, while the priest and his wife were critically wounded in an incident that allegedly involved one of his sons at their residence in Batkhela, Malakand district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, expressed news Saturday.
According to Levie’s officials, the incident in Batkhela Tehsil happened, where Mufti Kifayatullah’s son allegedly opened fire inside the family’s home. The attack left Mufti Kifayatullah and his wife critically wounded, while two of their children – a son and a daughter – died on the spot.
Levies sources added that another son and daughter of the priest was also seriously wounded in the shooting and was rushed into a nearby hospital with the deceased and other wounded family members.

Rescue teams reached the scene shortly after the incident and transported the bodies and were injured for medical assistance.
Officials confirmed that Mufti Kifayatullah was out of danger, though he remains during medical treatment. The suspected shooter, who was identified as his son, fled the scene after the attack.
Sources also revealed that the defendant reportedly depended on Crystal Meth (commonly known as ‘ice’), which may have contributed to the violent episode.
Malakand charges have launched a manhunt for the suspect and a study is underway.
